Cards on the Table by Agatha Christie

4.0

It was so weird, the ending. It just felt so much like a stretch. I wish it had the sinister ending it was hinting at. That would make this a real definite horror read with murders here and there. But it was not. There just had to be the whirlwind moment where the solid footing we had achieved on the suspects just had to be snatched away.
I did like the different way of storytelling. I enjoyed all of the different character introduced in this. Thank God for that or I would have gone in a reading slump over an Agatha Christie book, that would be just unbelievable.
The concept for the story was so interesting. I just was expecting it to be more like Orient express, murderer to be found in the closed confines of the room and all the clues were to be found there as well. But we didn't even return to the room of the murder once after it happened.
