I did like this book for the most part, but once again like many horse novels I've read (other then biographies) there were a lot of plot discrepancies. Vivienne, even though she was a character I could relate to, had so many varying emotions that didn't mix with her overall personality. One minute she had the maturity level of an adult and then the next she didn't with her "OMG'S!" and "that kiss was so deliciously delicious that I just had to have more." That was incredibly annoying. Also I feel like the author introduced too many crazy side stories into what is only the first novel of this series. Finding out Riley is gay and is trying to escape his parents, while Tristan's father is basically a horse killing mobster is waaaaay overboard for a series starter. "TMI" as Vivienne would say. I did enjoy the horse aspects of this novel though since I am an avid horse lover. It was all accurate and well written. But unfortunately the next novel for me is still up in the air. Do I read it and get disappointed? Or is it any better then the first one? I'm truly not sure yet.
