Well…this book was so wacky. And not in a fun way.

The writing felt very disjointed and like the chapters between the two girls' perspective, even chapters between the same POV felt off. They just jumped around and there felt like no connective tissue in this book so I never got a sense of just reading. It felt similar to poor editing on a movie that just jumps around, very weird.

The story was fine, it didn’t feel like it needed to be dual POV but oh well.

Everything felt like it happened too well. Oh no! Scarlett is in the head cage! She's free a chapter later. Oh no! Tella finds out she's married to Jacks! They're divorced a chapter later. OH NO SCARLETT IS DRESSED UP LIKE THEIR DEAD MOTHER TO TRICK THE FALLEN STAR!! YOU GUESSED IT!! She is revealed to just be Scarlett A CHAPTER LATER!!! There are no stakes! So I felt so uninterested in this plot because it just happened! At least with the last two books there felt like things were happening because either Tella was missing or Tella was about to die! You know, a lot of things are revolving around Tella…because isn't she the reason the Fates are free…

My biggest issue is what the actual fuck was that ending????? I have never seen a plot be so slow and boring in the beginning then in the last FIFTY PAGES OF THE PLOT add in a time traveling element?? Truly, I was baffled. And the way it all went down was just as insane with the Fallen Star being apologetic for half a page and suddenly he can die now?????????? I don't even wanna think about that crazy ass ending.

One last thing…WHY ARE WE ANNOUNCING TO THE WORLD SCARLETT'S FULL LEGAL NAME FOR THE CORONATION WHEN THEIR DAD IS STILL ALIVE AND THINKS SHE'S CHILLING WITH LEGEND?????? None of the plot of this book makes sense.
