This book (slash series) earns one star for not having a love triangle. This book loses four stars for literally stealing every significant plot twist straight from the Hunger Games. It felt familiar, and as I started listing them off in my head my rating dropped progressively more. The lack of originality robs all of the big moments of any emotional punch at all. Would not recommend unless you said "boy, I'd really like to read The Hunger Games without reading the Hunger Games, ya know?" In that case, this series would be perfect!
