I really like this book. That scene at the gate is sticking with me. Even a week later I am picturing it.

Seeing him crawl so desperately... only to be killed in front of his lover. Who can't do anything to stop it. 

 
The cover could use some work. Also, will there be more, because this feels like a start to a series.
