THE SHORT: 

You cannot go wrong with Troy Duran and Michelle Sparks. They bring the feels. The audiobook is A+! This one had me cackling, sweating, and purring. If you are familiar with CP+SV’s books, you know it’s pure chaos in the last 15%. The plot advanced, and I eagerly anticipate the next installment.

THOUGHTS & REACTIONS: 

I am enjoying the flashbacks of the slayers and the royals— they add depth as their histories are gradually uncovered, yet the story remains largely shrouded in mystery. If there is one thing the Twisted Sisters consistently deliver, it's lovable characters and despicable villains. Usually, I rely on Julius for funnies, but this time, Fabian had me chuckling at his own expense. The statues scene had me howling. The action kept me on the edge of my seat. New fear unlocked—vampires that swim. I know what you're thinking. That may not seem scary, but remember, vampires don't need to breathe. So, it's stealthy, sneaky, creepy, and ultimately undetectable. 😨 As a spicy gal, I appreciated that tower rendezvous. 🫠 I'm excited to see the relationships develop further after that fantastic ending! I’ll just be sitting here whisper shouting, I’m-watching you-Valentina, until the Forsaken Relic audiobook is published. 👀

My Reaction: where are my villain-loving girlies at? Our morally gray boyfriend needs reassurance. 

Wherever she went, I was going too.

The point at which the day met the night was always the most beautiful. So perhaps there was a chance for us yet.
