The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

2.0

So this book has elicited some of the most weirdly conflicting feelings I have ever had about a book. The Final Girls Support Group has a fascinating and intriguing premise with equally intriguing characters. However, there is just something missing that causes the book to fall short for me. I don't quite know how to describe just what is missing so I might update this once I do. Then the one thing that kind of bugged me a lot throughout the book was the feminist rhetoric. *Now before you gasp and clutch your pearls let me finish the thought.* It may be a reach but at times the girl power monologues felt awkward when having the knowledge that the book was written by a man. I really don't know what to do with this book. Because I would read it again???? And I wouldn't NOT recommend it???? But I wouldn't go out of my way to do either of those things. I really have no idea. Do with this review what you may. I would recommend the audiobook though.
