I know my last review of a Donna Tartt book (The Goldfinch) was very short and sweet and I was hoping to keep that theme going... but there is just so much to discuss here! I adore Donna Tartt's writing. It left me wanting more from certain events, like
the bacchanal and the murder of Bunny
but the fact that so many details where kept from the reader, is also what made the book so suspenseful. I ended up reading 550+ of the 629 pages over the span of two days, I just could not put it down.
There are lots of discussable topics (grief, the characters, elitism to name a few) so in my opinion, it also makes the perfect book for a book club or discussion group.
