I didn't quite liked this book as much as the first one, although I still enjoyed the reading experience.

The fact that Clara got more embroiled in the whole angel mythology was engaging. It wasn't as action-packed as the previous book, but there were enough surprises to keep me engrossed; this was a positive thing as it counteracted with the slower pacing of the story.

I was surprised and disappointed that the love triangle element was continued in this book. I thought it was a done deal in the first book and it seemed pretty pointless in this book. Christian still annoyed me. For someone who is supposed to play an important role, he doesn't seem to do anything except be a support system for Clara and confuse her even more when it comes to her lovelife.

Overall not quite as gripping as the first book, but still a worthwhile addition to the series.
