This is the first D.E. McCluskey book I've had the pleasure of reading, and it's a f**kin' belter.
The narration is fantastic, like an old cop/noir film - I loved it.
There are grisly, horrific scenes... psychological horror too, and it's great! I went in blind, wondering "is this going to be horrifying and grim... and will I get through it all?" The answer to all three of those is Yes. It's compelling stuff, well told.
Highly recommended!
