Think of a girl power version of goonies meets national treasure! This was an exciting sapphic adventure on the high seas with woman pirates, Asian lead characters and folklore steeped in culture and history. This story was very YA so the romance was there but not spicy and the action was exciting but not to graphic or gory.
I loved the relationships in this story and how raw the contrast between our FMCs family and her found family of pirates was. There was riddles, poems, twists&turns, and of course treasure! But the real treasure isn’t what you’d expect. Highly recommend.
