The New Kid by Eliot Schrefer

3.0

What does desire look like if you don't know what you desire? The New Kid explores this idea through teenage outsider Humphrey and his actress drifter sister Gretchen. None of the characters in the book know what they want (and I mean NONE of them), yet all of them act on desires that they think they should have, or maybe do have, or somehow partly have. A book about unsexy sex.
