Girl Sleuth: Nancy Drew and the Women Who Created Her by Melanie Rehak

3.0

It was interesting to hear the story behind some of my favorite childhood book series (since the same group of people was responsible not only for Nancy Drew, but also Hardy Boys, Bobbsey Twins, Happy Hollisters and others). I also enjoyed getting the historical context for a lot of events that shaped how those series unfolded, including the suffragette movement, but I did sometimes find the author's side excursions on feminism to be irritating. Worth reading though.
