Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead
by Elle Cosimano
Just a teeny bit less fun than the first, but still a great time! Fin is such a trip. She cannot stay out of trouble to save her life… or anyone else’s for that matter. It’s a riot!
The mystery was nail-biting, but I just don’t see her husband as worthy of so much attention! He’s certainly no prize, but it was a bit of a stretch to make the whole book centered on his, um, situation.
I loved the dynamic with Vero and her family, giving just a hint of what is happening. I can’t wait for the next book to show some details! Her friendship with Finlay is everything.
The telling vs showing balance was a touch off in this book. The first one did a great job of revealing truths through action. This one is heavier on the exposure through conversation, which is kind of a bummer for me.
Very much looking forward to the next one! We need more Nick!! We need more Vero!
