Surprise for the Sniper

What a sweet second chance romance! When Liv is 16, she finds out she is pregnant by the town's outcast, Benji. On the night that Liv is going to tell Benji that she is pregnant, he tells her he has been selected to play for a Hockey league in Detroit. Knowing that this may be Benji's only shot to get out of their small town, Liv decides not to tell Benji about the baby. Years later, Benji plays for the Connecticut Comets. When he comes back to town to celebrate his league's victory and run a hockey clinic, he finds out about Liv's secret. Liv and Benji cannot deny the passion they have for one another, but can they move on from the past and rekindle their love? So so loved this book! I loved Liv. She is fiercely protective over her family and is such a sweetheart. Benji....I had a hard time with. There are times when you will REALLY not like him. I do think he always meant well but sometimes needed a voice of reason after some of his tantrums. Overall I do think his character development was good. I love that the whole story was not all sunshine and rainbows and showed how difficult it can be to heal from trauma and how that affects your future relationships. Definitely recommend!
