Mother of Invention: How Good Ideas Get Ignored in a World Built for Men: How Good Ideas Get Ignored in an Economy Built for Men by Katrine Marçal, Katrine Marçal

5.0

For a fan of technology and innovation, Mother of Invention was a great discovery for me. On the one hand, I loved the stories of discoveries and inventions. On the other hand, it told stories of the struggles that inventions have to go through to end up in our homes. Essentially, it is a story of struggles that products are designed for or by women. They are not taken seriously, they are not given the means to grow and flourish. They are simply less. Because they are for women. Some of the inventions or struggles were surprising but to find which ones, I would recommend reading a book. You might discover that it might take 30 years for a feminine invention to reach the mass market.
