I have been looking for a new urban fantasy series to fall in love with and since this book has been on my to-read list for a while, I decided to give it a shot.
I don't know that this is what I'm looking for. The premise is interesting, but I don't love Jane, or even think I like her much. She's deliberately abrasive, she has a tendency to burst out in inappropriate laughter, and I don't have a ton of confidence in her ability to kick butt.
I AM interested in finding out more about her friend Molly and Molly's family. So I might give this series one more shot- often the first book just lays the bare bones ground work on character and world building. Hopefully I enjoy the second one better.
