Wrathful Mortals
by Susanne Valenti, Caroline Peckham
I know I've said this 1,000 times already, but I will never get over how great Caroline and Susanne are at storytelling. They have this unparalleled ability to craft a world that I always end up fully immersed in, as well as take well known myths and lore, make it their own in ways I never would have predicted. This installment of the Age of Vampires had a grip on me, just like all the ones that have come before it. From the incredible world building, to the unique characters, mixed with just the right amount of darkness, I absolutely love this series.
The development in the relationships in this book was incredible, both with Callie and Montana's respective romantic relationships, as well as their own dynamic with each other now that they have reunited, especially with their conflicting views they have formed during their separation.
