I ended up enjoying this book! I honestly thought it was really well written (are we surprised? Dickens is a good writer lol) & I liked the critique on Industrial Revolution-era-thinking. It was a wee bit slow & it took a hot minute for everything to come together, but I liked that it was relatively anticlimactic because that’s how life is. Though there was one part that I was on the edge of my seat, but it’s only exciting if you’re into the book. I don’t think my book buddies who I book clubbed this with liked it very much. 

If you ever decide to read it don’t expect anything too exciting to happen whilst reading.
