This is a fun, low stakes Christmas romance that I enjoyed my time with! The overly involved family dynamic is a really fun and relatable touch to a festive novel, but the banter between the characters didn’t feel organic to me, particularly because of too many s3xual innuendo jokes between family members. I did REALLY enjoy all the competitive Christmas spirit and creative challenges in this, and I appreciate the touch of found family trope.
The pace of the two main characters rekindling their relationship after a convoluted past didn’t feel realistic, but I absolutely LOVED their chemistry with one another! The spice was hot, and the mutual pining really elevated this! I love when the MMC is all in with pursuing!
Overall, I’m happy I read this book and I would recommend it for a fun, fast paced, and festive read!
