My book club dubbed this "the most adult book" we've read. After reading a YA novel whose lessons and takeaways were stated too plainly, I really appreciated how complex and adult the themes of this book were. Don't be put off by the primary trigger warning of this book, as it's well worth the journey of a woman finding her agency.
