I'm gonna be honest. I was so confused around the 60% mark that I had to turn to google. Google assured me that it'll all come together at the end---and google wasn't wrong. Just when you think you've got it figured out, it's like jk, naaah.
In a lot of ways, the beginning of this book reminded me of one of my favorites of last year--The Push. Perfect creepy kid vibes.
This book also features the unreliable narrator trope, however it's done in the most terrifying way--when our narrator themselves don't realize they're unreliable.

But besides the fact that I loved the book itself, THIS COVER THO. Fave cover of the year!
