The Truth about Love and Dukes by Laura Lee Guhrke

3.0

This was a fun story, full of witty banter. I found both Henry and Irene to be enjoyable characters. Irene is progressive for the time, marching for women's rights and running the family newspaper. She was raised to believe in love and doesn't agree with society's rules. She even goes so far as to recommend a duchess give up her place in society and marry a painter for love. She's been dispensing this advise in the paper, and being that Dear Lady Truelove is the name of the series, this won't be the last we see of her. When Henry comes to the paper in an attempt to find his mother, he meets the lady in charge of it all, and spark begin to fly. They have quite a bit of amusing back and forth that will make you chuckle. This is the first I've read this author, and after this delightful tale, it won't be my last. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
