Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop

5.0

If you have not read book one, this could spoil some things for you, plus you should totally go and read it :D

The books takes off shortly where the last one ended. While most is the same as in the ending of last book, some things are a little tense and awkward in the beginning between some people and others.
In this book we learn a lot more about the blood prophets, their origin how they live or being kept and so on., We also learn about a new group which was pretty interesting.
We also get to meet some of the Terra Indigine from other parts of the world, Some of them with limited or no contact to humans. So that also was rather interesting. We get another look into how controlled and yet very lethal they all can be. Some forces are stronger than others.
Some of the new faces I really enjoyed and hope to see more like for example Charlie others even though human I did not care for much and wish would get eaten by someone (Lorenzo) .
Meg I thought is growing a lot in this book and it felt natural and not rushed. I loved her interaction with the wolves mostly but really with all the others, not as afraid but still a healthy dose of respect for them. She is also becoming more and more part of their community and its clear early on they all will protect their Meg.
Simon while still confused over human females or more so Meg and his feelings towards her also grows a lot in this book. He is learning more about humans and their behavior and he is more concerned about them. I still really enjoy him, mostly, he still has some issues but well who doesn’t . I think once he will be 100% honest to himself and his feelings things might clear up and get better….. or much worse for everyone around.
Tess, little by little more is revealed about her , but just never enough. We don’t get to see much over her ort least it felt like it. I wish there was more of her. The same goes for the elements and the ponies. We didn’t get much of them , but the bit we got was powerful stuff
Overall another epic book, that I enjoyed way too much , while it is a but darker than the last we still get some humor but just not as much. But what we do get is action and suspense nonstop.
I rate this book 5 full ★
