A Murder of Magpies by Judith Flanders
4.0
I think Sam and I would be great friends, should she exist, be 20 years younger, and live in the States. Maybe her mom too; she's a badass. And is it just me or does Jake snarl a lot? Okay let's get on with the book. I, in no way, know anything about law. I mean I know murder is bad and all that but I know next to nothing about corporate law or property law or anything else. So, half the time, I was reading along having no idea what a libel is until I decided to stop being a lazy-ass and use the wonders of today's technology and google it. It's just a fancy way of saying someone published something about about you and you don't like it, btw. There was a lot of lawyery jargon used which I don't understand at all and had to google most of it. Maybe the author ought to have a glossary. That aside, I thought the book was hilarious, and me randomly laughing while reading has successfully enticed a lot of people I know to read it too. I thought it was a cozy read, which is needed every once in a while. I'd recommend it to others.
