I could not put this book down. I kept saying to myself "how is she still alive?" It is truly hard to believe somebody could survive such a childhood! The book is well written and was quite a page turner, so it turned out to be quite a quick read. Would recommend, but with the warning that there are a lot of disturbing moments for a variety of reasons - so it is a quick read but quite heavy at the same time.
