This is a good book that forces you to dig deep and think about what you tolerate from people in your life that you shouldn’t. With guts, determination and confidence, Elizabeth works her way through life with a very cut throat mentality that was needed in the time period of this book. It just so happens that we also need that mentality today. I’m glad she was able to be vulnerable towards the end of the book, which is something that strong women often feel like they aren’t able to do without fear of being seen as weak.
