averagegal 's review for:
Blue
by Danielle Steel
As far as I can remember, this was my first time reading a Danielle Steel novel. Blue is one of her later novels (published in 2016), and it left me thinking that perhaps I should have read one of the books Steel is better known for so I could get a sense of her long-lasting appeal. Frankly, I couldn't see anything in this book that explained why it was a bestseller or why Steel's work is so popular. It took me ages to finish because it wasn't compelling enough for me to complete it in one or two sittings as I do with many books. Nothing happened in the book that surprised me, amused me, or moved me in any way. Overall, reading this felt like someone was explaining the plot of a movie she watched; I probably would have enjoyed the movie more than just listening to the description.
