The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

5.0

A girl is running for her life.

I'm finding it difficult to articulate how much I loved this book. I thought it was simply phenomenal.

This is only my second Schwab, but it will absolutely not be my last. I find her prose so lyrical, the writing so poetically beautiful that it makes me feel like I am doing more than reading.

And what a tiresome game it's been.

The exploration of Addie and Luc's relationship is very well done in my opinion. I could not decide whether I believed him or whether I agreed with Addie or whether perhaps they were both lying to themselves but in different ways.

The ending left me sobbing. It was such a poignant end to Addie and Henry's relationship.

I feel like there could be so much more to this story and I hope one day perhaps Schwab blesses us with it.
