Adventure Time Original Graphic Novel Vol. 4: Bitter Sweets by Kate Leth

4.0

Loved this installment in the series. It has a fun plot line and the illustrations are beautiful. Overall I would and do recommend this graphic novel series to my friends who are a fan of the show. Can't wait to see what the next book will hold. Here is the breakdown of what I thought

CHARACTERS:
The quirk and personality of the characters translate beautifully from the TV show to the graphic novel. Everything feels consistent and authentic.

THE PLOT: It was a cute story with a nice mystery. The occasional moments of Peppermint Butler's craziness added a nice comedic flair. Felt cohesive throughout and tied together nicely at the end.

THE ART: The art was beautiful and vibrant. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the break in the black and white theme from the past novels but it worked well for this story. PB and her friends have such whimsical homes and stories that the use of color felt appropriate.
