this was a truly unique book with some relatable and some deeply struggling characters. the writing was creative, immersive, and compelling. it was an enjoyable read but left me wanting some depth. i would have liked to see the characters’ growth fleshed out more fully. they spend most of the story in the struggle, then overnight, everything falls into place as they realize and correct their mistakes. this serves the plot, however, which kept me hooked. content - language, low spice (inferred)
Moderate: Cursing
Minor: Sexual content
