Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

3.0

This was a YA book that made me feel like I wasn't the target audience. There are some YA books where I get annoyed at the main character for acting too much like a teenager, and this was one of them. Though there was more going on in the book besides the romance, I felt like the book was 90% focused on that and it simply wasn't that compelling. The two acted like a couple the whole book anyway, so all we were waiting for the whole time was for them to kiss. I didn't hate the book, but it didn't ever excite me. Anna and Étienne are a cute couple and they certainly deserve each other, but their relationship just wasn't enough to sustain my interest for the length of the entire book.
