Shopaholic Ties the Knot by Sophie Kinsella
3.0

For those who have had to plan a wedding, it can be extremely stressful at times while fun and exciting at others. For Rebecca Bloomfield it seems to be more about a matter of pleasing everyone involved with the plans. As a result, she quickly finds herself in the middle of her mother’s plans for a nice English wedding and a lavish and expensive Manhattan wedding planned by her future mother-in-law. Luke Brandon, Becky’s fiancé, leaves the planning and decisions completely to Becky while he pours more of his energy into his work and his mother’s charity organization. And Becky, ever afraid of confrontation and disappointing those around her, must again reach into herself for a creative solution to the ballooning problems in her life. I was not as impressed with this book as with her previous two, although I did enjoy the story overall. Becky is always an amusing character to read about and her antics and logic make for many chuckles.
