saltycorpse 's review for:
A Kiss Before Dying
by Ira Levin
What a plot, and what an execution. Love the hard-boiled, noir-inspired feeling of this book, and the slight cat-and-mouse that happens with Bud and the Kingship family. Set in a world prior to social media and the internet, it really highlights how easy it was to not know someone, and for people to get away with shifting identities - not even CHANGING identities.
Also had some notes of The Talented Mr. Ripley, although Mr. Ripley would own Bud's ass any day.
