Not my thing. MC and ML just didn’t do it for me. It took me almost 20 days to finish this book even though the authors writing style is definitely very bingeable, but admittedly I was never a fantasy girlie to begin with. The writing could be kinda inconsistent and some of the MCs decisions really threw me off lol. Might read the second one out of curiosity, since I saw on Tiktok that that’s when it gets good (but idk if I should be looking at booktok’s opinions on this book anyway haha) and I am kinda intrigued by the ending. 2 stars because I liked the worldbuilding (it’s basic and understandable for someone who isn’t all that into heavy fantasy aka me) and the last scenes of the book were interesting.
