I was really looking forward to reading this book and was even sparing it for a special moment. Well, the moment came now and was not so special. As mentioned by others before, I feel that I am not the target group of the book, as I am already following most of the people mentioned in the book, am familiar with the ressources provided by the IE collective and work in the field myself. But I mean, it is still nice to read books that confirm and deepen your knowledge and understanding of a topic you are passionate about.

What was disturbing me the most, was the lack of coherence throughout the book. While I liked the contributions and interviews of IE members and supporters, I felt that it disturbed the reading flow quite a bit in some occasions. I liked the design and the font, but it wasn't used in a consistent manner (e.g. same font, size etc. for the same level of information) Sometimes, the content was doubled, just because the structure of content was a bit odd (e.g. three lists of Reading, Listening, Watching ressources were given, because they were divided by the 3 different people giving the recommendations) and some of the quotes were just repeated in the end. And while it is nice to have a recap and toolkit in the end, I felt that the last ~30 pages were either a repition of content in the book or information that is available on their website. There is a lot of data and numbers in the book, but only one graphic. I felt that this specific bar chart was not necessary, but in other ocassions a graphic could have helped to better visualize all the percentages and details.

Mhhh, so all in all it was an okay read and it definitely re-enphasized the need and my awareness for intersecting all of our joint acitivism to reach environmental and social justice. But unfortunately, I feel that it would be a bit overwhelming and confusing as an introductory book to the topic and way too shallow and and superficial for others, that would like to deepen their knowledge.
