I really don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, yeah it has elements of a typical ya fantasy book. The main character was put in danger and taken to safety basically in a palace where she could have anything she wanted. There are times where she's annoying, but then she has moments of maturity and admitting she was wrong. Her moods were so back and forth.

I thought all the explanations for the gods were solid. And the little twist at the end was nice, although
I'm SO mad about it because I liked Thanatos and their friendship was adorable and he seemed to actually care about her!!! He betrayed us all, I'm just so sad :(((
But it did get me interested in the second book, so there's that.

Either way, this book has been on my TBR list for YEARS and I FINALLY read it, so I'm satisfied :)
