The Suitcase by Chris Naylor-Ballesteros

3.0

I liked the illustrations, and the overall message that you should help people who need help, there is an implication that the "stranger" has maybe suffered from mental health problems and fallen on hard times, but I was slightly disturbed that none of the other animals felt that strongly about breaking into his property, and there didn't seem to be any consequences for their appalling behaviour. You could argue that they made it right by building him a new house, but then they all sat down and had a cup of tea. I feel that the stranger was the nicest most forgiving creature to ever feature in a picture book.
