Olivie Blake can do no wrong in my eyes. She is one of my top authors and I literally love everything she writes. Januaries is a collection of whimsical short stories that portray love and magic and horror and heartbreak. Every single story was so different, some where beautiful, some were strange and some were so relatable it was actually scary!
There were so many I loved but there were definitely a few favourites that I would love to have read a full books! The Wish Bridge and Sucker for Pain were definitely full on 5 star short stories, while stories like Monster Love, The House and The Audit were so real to every day life they made me a little uncomfortable 🤣
More of my favourites include: The Animation Games, To Make A Man, Preexisting Condition, Sous Vide, Sensual Tales of Carnal Pleasures, A Year in January as well as Chaos Theory (which in my opinion, was absolute and utter brilliance). I loved how these stories were all thought-provoking, I loved how we got that signature Olivie Blake "what is the point" feel and I absolutely adored some of these characters. This was such a fun read, really quick and easy and I'm so glad I got to experience all these little tidbits of her writing journey. Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you, @panmacmillansa, for this amazing g book to add to my obsessive Olivie Blake collection🖤🖤
