Letter from the Birmingham Jail by Martin Luther King Jr.

5.0

As with all of King's writings, I was moved and inspired. He expressed my sentiments about the religious leaders of the day. Where were they? Why did they not preach against the injustice of segregation laws and racism? They did not want to get involved in such matters. It is the same today with the environment. Clergyman do not want to get involved in this argument about saving the Earth, when to me, it seems the most important "religious" matter on our agenda today.
