The Broken Eye by Brent Weeks

5.0

This series continues to improve. Though this book has almost as many questions as answers, it was gripping from start to finish. It leaves a lot for the final book to do, however.

What is perhaps most startling is Weeks' improvement as a writer. From the Night Angel series, which was poor at best, to the first book of this series which was only a moderate improvement, the latter two books have demonstrated a true development of his style and his mastery of the genre. I'm now looking forward to the things he writes going forward.
