I am so confused. This book felt like the main characters of the previous parts had been lifted out of their world and put in an entirely different story. Major plot points from the last book had no impact on this book and most of the main themes and plots lines of the series were either not resolved or were concluded in a very unsatisfactory way. While I could see the vision for some story arcs, the execution felt rushed and unconvincing. Key characters from the previous books were missing while others were brought back for little apparent reason. The new setting had potential and could have been interesting if it wasn’t introduced right at the end of the series, but the new characters felt lacking and their chemistry with the existing cast weak. While I’m not sure they lived up to the hype, I enjoyed the first two parts of this series, but this final book disappointed me a lot.
