This is a book that one just FALLS into. You enter the colorful, fast-paced world of theatre in New York City pre-WW2. The main characters are a complete mess, and you love them anyway. This book was insanely fun and enjoyable, and it made me want to go see a show more than ever. I also love the frame story technique, where the story is told from the main character's point of view as she is now a thoughtful, old woman. What I loved most about her is that when she remembers her younger self with all her flaws, she is kind to that young woman. This book is like a warm blanket, and it reminds the reader that you can never tell where your life will end up.
