Y’all I should have been prepared for an emotional rollercoaster when I realized the FMC had amnesia and couldn’t remember the MMC. But I didn’t just dive in blind, I cannonballed. My heart hurt and I was hoping with every page turn for the memories to return. There weee twists in there that I didn’t anticipate, but kept me on my toes. Overall, a really good second chance romance.
❤️ Tropes ❤️
💋 second chance romance
💋 rockstar romance
💋 amnesiac FMC
💋 forced proximity
Poppy is finally taking steps to being on her own again. She took her first job as a personal chef for a week for someone she had to sign an NDA for, at least since her accident. It took a couple of years, but considering they didn’t think she would survive, getting just about everything back is a huge win. She just can’t remember the weekend leading up to the accident. But when she is preparing the first meal, the client is a huge eggplant to her. She’s not sure what she did to make him angry, but as she’s leaving her car broke down. With her phone dead and no charger. And a storm coming. Guess she miss be stuck with the client for a while anyways. Oh goodie.
Thank you to Literally Yours PR for the copy, all thoughts are my own.
