Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

This is one of those novels that I'll never be able to review appropriately; I won't be able to find the words for how I feel. It's just worth knowing: I loved it. It was my longest read of the year, I think. Not in terms of pages, but the amount of time it took me to finish. This isn't a binge read... it is a substantial, heavy, thoughtful, character-driven narrative. The chapters are long, and some are quick page-turners that you want to finish in one sitting, and others are difficult and too thought-provoking to just keep moving onto the next chapter.

I'm still just as torn over the issues presented in the book as the characters themselves were.

Whew. Powerful book.
