"Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus", written by Mo Willems (2003), is another lighthearted book. It follows a pigeon who wants to drive a bus. It would be a great book for 1st-3rd graders. It teaches the students to stay strong and not be persuaded. It also teaches not giving in to peer-pressure.
