The Lost Manuscript by Cathy Bonidan

5.0

I know that a novel can transport us far, penetrate and transform us forevermore. I know that characters on paper can modify our memories and remain forever at our sides

I truly enjoyed this charming novel written in letters. I always enjoy reading epistolary novels and I think my love of them comes from my genealogy days when I used to get so absorbed with someone in my family tree and I found a treasure trove. The best of times were if there were letters, though I got excited if I found a little note to explore more on that individual.
The Lost Manuscript was a novel I didn’t want to put down. I loved the audiobook; it has a full cast and you get a sense of each person’s personality coming through the letters. For me it was a great book to lose myself in, as I followed the lives that also got wrapped up in the journey/mystery of the lost manuscript.
