Witches, Witch-Hunting, and Women by Silvia Federici

dark emotional informative sad medium-paced

4.0

This was super interesting!! The author argues that there’s a relation to be drawn between capitalism and the witch hunts. I’ve always had an interest in the witch hunts of the 16th-17th century but it was especially insightful to read more about modern witch hunting and how our current systems seems to be encouraging it in a way.
I’m not well-versed on anti-capitalist thought so I’ll have to supplement that in order to form a complete opinion. But for reader experience this definitely was a strong 4*.
