God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything
by Christopher Hitchens
This is the first book that I've read by Hitchens, so i wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was blown away at the historical nature of the book. Hitchens has a plethora of examples to support his various points, and he continually piqued my curiosity that has driven me to learn more. He never expects you to simply "take his word for it." He provides specific examples, and points out relevant fallacies without bias. Christianity, islam, hinduism, and buddhism are all discuss, and specific religious leaders are highlighted with factual evidence. I will definitely be reading this one again.
