Completely absurd, but tons of fun. A great beach book or vacation book. You can't take it too seriously, or try to follow the characters too closely, just go with it. I love how she used actual historical characters although it was getting a little too Deborah Harkness there by the end. (i.e. The characters meet/know too many historical greats.)
